Six promises we hold ourselves to
Anonymous by default
We ask for the minimum: a name to address the parcel, an email for order updates, and an address to deliver to. Nothing else is required to buy a book from us.
Never sold, never shared
Your details are not a product. We do not sell, rent or swap customer data with publishers, data brokers, ad networks or anyone else.
No reading profiles
What you read is your business. We do not build behavioural profiles for advertising and we do not retarget you around the web with the books you looked at.
Secure by design
Payments are handled by a regulated processor and we never store your full card details. Access to order data is limited to the people who pack your books.
Discreet dispatch
Plain, unbranded outer packaging. No promotional inserts describing what you bought, and no third-party leaflets stuffed in the box.
Deleted on request
Ask and we erase you. We keep only the minimum transaction record UK law requires, and nothing more.
What we actually collect
- Your name, email and delivery address, so the book reaches you.
- Your order history, so returns and enquiries can be handled.
- A payment confirmation from our processor — never your full card number.
- Optional marketing consent, only if you tick the box yourself.
That is the whole list. If a field is not needed to send you a book, we do not ask for it.
Privacy questions, answered
- Will my details be shared with anyone?
- No. We never sell, rent or trade your details. The only parties who ever see them are our delivery carrier and our payment processor, and only to the extent required to get your book to you and take payment.
- Do you build advertising profiles from what I read?
- No. We do not build reading profiles for advertising, we do not pass browsing data to ad networks, and we do not resell purchase history to publishers or data brokers.
- Will I be added to a marketing list automatically?
- No. Marketing email is opt-in only. If you never tick the box, you never hear from us apart from the messages needed to fulfil your order.
- Is the packaging discreet?
- Yes. Orders are dispatched in plain, unbranded outer packaging from our UK warehouse. Nothing on the outside describes the titles inside.
- Can I have my data deleted?
- Yes. Email us and we will erase your account and personal details, keeping only the minimum transaction record UK law requires us to hold.
